In 605 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon had conquered Judah (N. Israel) and deported many of its inhabitants to Babylon – Daniel included.

Daniel served in the royal court of Nebuchadnezzar and several rulers who followed Nebuchadnezzar. The Book of Daniel records the actions, prophecies, and visions of the Prophet Daniel.

 

 Daniel (The Prophet) gives us insight into, Israel's captivity, God's judgements against them and The Invasion by Babylon. 

Wickedness abounded in the new land. When the invasion began, they captured the leaders of their country, enslaved the nobleman and spirited them off to Babylon (Iraq) today.
